Sims & Associates offer a full range of Project Management
services for the design, implementation, operation and maintenance
(O&M) of environmental remediation systems. These services
relieve our clients' environmental staff from the time consuming
responsibilities of contracting, construction and long-term
O&M. The Project Management services offered by our firm are
ideal for multiple party sites (PRP Groups). Since the early
1980's, L.S. Sims & Associates has had responsibility for the
O&M and reporting activities at a Superfund, groundwater
remediation site. This site was one of the first in the state of
Florida where active groundwater recovery and treatment for
chlorinated hydrocarbon constituents was implemented.

On behalf of
a seven-member PRP Group, our staff developed bid documents, assisted
with contractor procurement and managed the construction of a
groundwater remediation system at an abandoned solvent recycling
facility that had been under investigation for over twelve
years. Currently, our staff is responsible for the operation,
maintenance, sampling and reporting at this site. Adding to our
experience, L.S. Sims & Associates once served as Project
Coordinator during contractor selection and construction of a
groundwater remediation system in the downtown area of a major
southern city. This project combined the efforts of the
municipality, a state environmental agency and a private
industry. Presently, we are responsible for the long-term
sampling and reporting at this site.
